Kanegaon is one of the largest village  in Lohara Taluka ,It was one of the important village of this region during rule of Nizam's also.current village is a rehabilitated viallage as this  village was also affected by killari earth qauke of 1993.Village has a well known religious status in region ,a very wellknown sant of current times Sant Maruti Maharaj was from this village people from nearby areas, talukas and even disrticts were disciples /followers of  Sant Maruti Maharaj ,now there is a temple by his name in the village,which is visited by lot of people from  on Ekadashi.
