Murugapadi is a small village near Polur. It is 7 km from POLUR. From Polur one has to travel on vellore route and take a right turn in the Bagmarpet Bungalow stop. From that place murugapadi is 1.2 km . At the entrance of the village there is a Mariamman temple which guards the village . After a little distance there are two hanuman temples and a pillayar koil. There are still there Amman temples. A small post office functions.
