Since there were bunches of Narachalu plants the village is named after Narachanahally. The village is having 2 main temples one is Sri Adishakthi Parvathamma Temple and Other one is Sri Maneyamma Temple. Adishakthi Parvathi idol is very rare as it has shivalinga one hand and Trishula in other hand. She is considered as Grama Devathe(Lord of village). People worship this God and every year there is Fair on the second friday after Mahashivaratri Festival.
