Prabha (tall totems) Festival is the most famous, historical and ancient festival in Konaseema area, which can be held on the eve of Sankranthi Pongal. On Kanuma Day of Sankranthi festival, people of Gangalakurru Agraharam and neighbouring villages carry Prabha (Tall Totem) of Deity Sri Veereswara Swamy, Gangalakurru Agrharam on their shoulders which is decorated with colour papers, flowers, colour clothes to Jaggannathota (small hamlet in Konaseema) by crossing Kowsika River. While Sri Veereswara Swamy Prabha crossing the river all the people who attend the festival will come and watch by standing on the banks of the river. People feel very happy by watching Prabha crossing the river, they fell that it is most memorable moment in their lives. People of various places of Andhra Pradesh and the people of this area who are settled in the country
