The old name of the village is 'Jainpur Patti'. Before 1947, muslims also lived here. There was a mosque in between the village that is now converted to the Gurdwara sahib. Majority of Bhattian population belongs to 'Sikh Saini'. The Saini community is migrated from Doaba, some are from Tanda and other from a village 'dhala and dalli' near Bhogpur. They were migrated before partition. Presently, there are two Gurudwara in this village. Few Jatt families migrated from pakistan also lives here. This is the only village where Jatt and Saini lives together. otherwise Jatts and Sainis have their own villages. Good transportation system is available in the village. Its the very developing village in the nearby area. Famous Khadagdhari khalsa school tugalwal is at 3 km distance. The village is situated on the bank of Upper doab canal. jagowal, ladhopur, nanokot, kotli, nanowal and Bhitewadh are the surrounding villages. Qadian is near to the village less than 10 km. Bhaini mian khan is 6 km.
