Once it was called as tanduvai,later it changed as taativai, and now taduvayi. beacause of taati chettu (palm tree) it was called as taduvai. as per the request of Reddy raja, one brahmin pickup the Idol of sri veereswara from vaaranasi. when he enter the taduvai area he kept the swamy idol on small palm tree,and went for sandhya vandan.Then the the swamy idol felldown on earth.then the swamy told he will stand there. and asked to built a temple there itself.From that day this village is called as taduvayi.
