Lohwan, tha place where Lord Krishna used to play flute by sittinh on the benches of "Kadamb" tree. It is located on the other side of holy river Yamuna from Mathura.The name of this place is derived from the devil "Lohasur". He was supposed to be the most dangerous devil at that time and used to kill people and their cattles for his food. He used to live in a care which is still there an the bank of holy pond " Krishna Kunda". He was priced that no one could kill him if he is there in his cave.All the citizens of Lohwan came to lord Krishna and told him that they are afraid of Lohasur, Lord Krishna understood their problem and killed Lohasur just in front of that cave. and from that time that place is known as Lohwan.People from all over world come here to visit that holy trees which are still alive from lord Krisha's age.
