Dudangi actual name Duddanagi is a small village and most interesting area it's become getting best award of agriculture and here people also main work is agriculture, this village history was once upon time this village administrated by Deshapande's during British rule, as a last village in Gulbarga and Bijapur districts after independence Duddanagi was in border of Hyderabad Karnataka which was under Nijam's rule and Mumbai Karnataka (Bijapur district). People of Duddanagi fought against Rajakar's (Hyderabad Nijam). After Nijam surrendered to Indian army Duddanagi Village along with entire Gulbarga became part of independent India. Village along with Gu lbarga district became part of Karnataka state after 1st November 1956. Main occupation of people in Duddanagi is agriculture though many people have studied and have become Engineers, doctors, teachers. Mallikarjun A maragond was Engineer in famous Almaty dam construction. Shivkumar Gunari who is serving as a Superident of Police at present hails from this village. Along with this there are many people are various posts in Government of Karnataka. Guanri family alone which richest and most educated family in the village has many Engineers, teachersdoctors and so on. People of Duddanagi are peace loving and leave in harmony. Though village eis does not have all basic facilities like hospital , library etc but people of Duddanagi are very much educated, Gunari family alone has more than dozen teachers, couple of Engineers, two CDPO's, a doctor, one SP and so on. Gunari family along with other families in the village are well-known for political and social work in Afzalpur taluk.
