OverView Of Perungattur

Perungattur is a small village on the mountain of jawathu hills. It is 6 kms away from jamunamarathur when heading towards polur. A beautiful and excellent government model higher secondary school with girls hostel is available here. It is a newly built government institution specially meant for hill area pupils. The school was started from june 2016. Actually this school was started in kilaiyur in the year 2013-2014. The first headmaster to this newly started model school was mr. Sampoorna sagayam from tirupattur. Next mr. A. Samraj, the tamil p.g. Teacher, was the in-charge headmaster for 3 months and after him came a new headmaster from tiruvannamalai, mr. G. Birmanandhan. After him mr. V. Lingeswaran was the headmaster from 2015 to 2017. From 2016 june the school was shifted to the new school premises built on the top of the mountain with girls hostel. Now the school with the in-charge headmaster mr. J. Amal raj.
