Jhalon Ka Guda (Exploration gets you going) :
Situated amidst exquisite natural setting. Jhalon ka Guda is in close proximity to Udaipur. As you walk through the village, you are bound to get captivated by the scenic beauty that encompasses the small village, which is flocked with temples and places of religious relevance. Interact with the villagers and peep onto the lives of wheel potters, black smiths and dairymen. Get enthralled with the rural demeanor and indulge in horse rides and trekking. It’s a place where you will be delighted to explore the ancient relics of the bygone era. Perched on a hill-top, 2km from the village is a 700 years old temple of Ratasen Mata, the deity of Rathod Rajputs. 4 km to the north of village is located the Eklingji Temple., the sand-stone and marble shrine of the Lord Shiva who is believed to be the ruler of Mewar. Another monumental delight is located some 6 km from the village, known as Nagda. It is a 10th century temple that has beautifully carved statues and intricately carved archways.
While strolling past the narrow lanes and makeshift houses, you will stumble upon small time artisans and craftsmen. Jhalon ka Guda is best explored while trekking or on horseback. Any day in the village, be an observer of the craft created by potters and blacksmiths. You will also be delighted to find villagers preparing cattle food and milking cattle.
